Known as a “world in one city,” London is a city of contrasts. It is not only a modern bustling metropolis, home to seven million people and workplace for many millions more, but it is also an ancient city dating back to Roman times. With over 300 languages spoken throughout the city, London is truly a global capital and world center for arts and culture, business, scientific inquiry and much more. Whether exploring Britain, continental Europe or the rest of the world, London is the ideal place to begin the journey. As the nation’s transportation hub, the city offers easy access to national and international rail lines as well as close proximity to major airports.

The London University Studies & Internships program is based at Queen Mary University of London in London, England. Students will be at the main QM campus at Mile End in east London.  Most academic schools are based at Mile End, as well as several halls of residence, lecture theatres, the main Library, and our central administrative services.  London is a well connected city with great public transportation.  Most people use the London Underground to get around the city.  The nearest stations on the London Underground are Mile End on Hammersmith and City, District and Central lines; and Stepney Green on the Hammersmith and City and District lines.

To learn more about QM's east end location visit here.

                    Broaden Your Perspective

At Wake Forest, we believe international learning experiences can significantly impact your intellectual, personal, and professional growth. When studying abroad, book knowledge comes alive. You experience culture and history firsthand. Your perspectives broaden. You leave a student and return a global citizen.
