Welcome to Study Abroad at Wake Forest!

At what time in your life will you have the opportunity to spend a summer, semester, or year learning about the culture, language, politics, history, and geography of a foreign country? Take advantage of this outstanding opportunity! As all of our students who have studied abroad can attest, this experience will change your life.

Since acquiring a former American Consulate along the Grand Canal in Venice as its first overseas residence in 1971, Wake Forest University has emphasized the importance of overseas study to intellectual and personal growth. Students can now study at University-owned residences in London, Vienna, and Venice or through other semester or summer programs around the world. In recent years, more than 50 percent of Wake undergraduates have studied abroad by the time they graduate.

We invite you to look around our study abroad site and imagine being part of one of these exciting programs. On these pages you will find brochures detailing each program, important information about living and learning abroad, and instructions for applying on-line. What are you waiting for?

The world awaits....
