A fun hello from this summer’s WFU/Scotland: Chemistry in Dundee group 🏴

Spotlight of Hadassah E. in South Africa this summer! 🇿🇦💚
“My time here in Cape Town has been such a fulfilling experience! As this is my first time out of the country, and one of my first times travelling outside of NC, coming to Cape Town has been a whirlwind of new experiences that I will remember forever.
I’m so grateful for the growth, the people, and the lessons I’ve learned through my internship in immigration law; as well as the views, this beautiful city, and my cohort. For anyone hesitant to come to South Africa- don’t be, I promise it’s completely worth your while.”

A DOUBLE summer highlight from Zali 🇨🇷🏴
« This summer I had the honor of participating in two study abroad programs: EDU 377: Pura Vida Learning: Exploring Costa Rica through Global Literacy-Special Topics and ENG 302: Literature of the Witch-Ideas in Literature
Both programs gave me an opportunity to not only explore the world but also explore two different aspects of my life. As an education minor it was a rewarding experience to be in schools and learn Costa Rican culture.
As a Creative writing minor it was worth the experience to not only dive into another writers world but also expand my own creative writing skills. This summer has taught me so much not only about myself but also about the worlds around me. I look forward to participating in more programs in the future! »

Deacs Abroad Summer Spotlights continue in Spain! 🇪🇸
“I’m Ashanty Normil (‘28) and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to study abroad this summer in Salamanca, Spain as a part of SPA 212: Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture – Exploring the Hispanic World.
Studying abroad in Salamanca has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my college journey. I celebrated my birthday here, immersed myself in Spanish culture, and explored cities like Feromoselle, Segovia, Valencia, and Madrid with my peers. Living with a host family, I grew to love and learned about traditions that made Spain feel like home.” – @ashantyyy_
