Last week we hosted our very first Passport Day! Our lovely partners at the Winston-Salem State University Passport Office came to our campus to collectively process students’ passport applications ✈️
Wake Forest University was fortunately selected by the Institute of International Education (IIE) to receive an IIE American Passport Project grant. The funds enables several Wake Forest students to obtain their first U.S. passport, opening the pathway to study abroad.
Several students who participated in our Passport Day were recipients of this IIE grant funding and several others received funding directly from Wake Forest University. Thanks to this funding, we were able to submit 19 passport applications at no cost to the students!
Special thanks to Peitra and Tammy for collaborating on this event and taking time to visit us on campus! ⭐️ Big thanks to Study Abroad Advisors, Sam and most especially, Timo for leading this initiative!
