Due to British Immigration/Visa requirements, students will participate in a 4 week course called How Britain Works. This course is comprised of a morning seminar based around a contemporary British theme followed by an afternoon excursion to a museum or some other culturally significant location that ties into the morning seminar's theme. Attendance for How Britain Works is mandatory due to visa compliance issues. The seminar's themes consider the political, economic, social and cultural landscape, while paying special attention to London as both a capital city and a node point in an increasingly globalized world.
***Please note that a Tier IV Visa is required for this program. EUSA will provide you with resources to help you secure the visa once you are accepted into the program. Obtaining the Tier IV visa can be a very onerous process which will require you to travel to Charlotte to obtain your biometrics. The fee is around $500. Please take seriously all emails and documents pertaining to your visa. https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/overview
***For the London program, please do not purchase a flight that connects in Dublin before arriving in London to start the program. There are complications regarding getting your visa stamped correctly when passing through Ireland. Contact EUSA or Tyler Favale with questions.

London is one of Europe's largest and most cosmopolitan cities. Its famous sites include Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus, and Westminster Abbey. With a multitude of art galleries, museums, and pubs, London is endlessly interesting. The underground rail "tube" system provides easy access to all parts of the city. Students may conveniently visit Canterbury, Oxford, Bath, Dover, and other destinations (Scotland and Wales) via the excellent British railway system.
WFU students will generally receive 3 hours of WFU credit, pass/fail. Students will be enrolled in BUS 350 which counts as general elective credit towards graduation. Grades will be based on the assignments given in EUSA seminar courses and weekly journals. If you wish to seek credit from a separate academic department, please discuss this option with Tyler Favale.

Students will be housed in fully furnished residences in London that are specially designed for the student lifestyle. This means a comfortable atmosphere in a residence hall or flat of European proportions - students may find that things are a bit smaller and that space is more limited than one might expect on a US campus. Students will have access to a kitchen with modern cooking facilities, common areas, and high speed internet. Rooms are doubles.
NOTE: All students participating in the WFU Summer Internship program are required to live in program-provided housing. Housing accommodations you may have on campus do not automatically transfer to abroad and certain housing accommodations (single rooms and private bathrooms, for example) may not be available.
