- February 6th, 2025 – Deadline to deposit to confirm your spot by paying the non-refundable $575 deposit in Wake Abroad

Where can I find the application?
Apply directly on the Syracuse Abroad Website after November 15th, 2024, at 9 AM when the application opens. Please note the application is not open until November 15th.
What Syracuse Florence track should I choose?
- Students applying to WFU’s business school should apply to the Florence Center: Wake Forest University Business track to have access to core business courses.
- Students accepted to this track and to WFU’s business school are guaranteed registration into two of the following business courses: MAR301 Essentials of Marketing, MGT346 Organizational Behavior, and SCM300.1 Production and Operations Management.
- Non-business students typically select the Florence Center track. This program allows access to Syracuse Center courses.
- Florence Center and University of Florence (courses in English) program includes access to Syracuse Center courses and courses at the University of Florence (additional ECN & POL courses)
- The other program tracks are for specific academic disciplines such as Studio Art or Italian Language.

What are the application requirements to consider my application complete?
- Admissions survey including the following 200 max word personal statement:
- How do you anticipate or hope that studying abroad in this specific program will impact you? Please consider your academic program, career goals, personal growth and/or other in your brief response.
- Passport Information: Your passport must remain valid for at least six months beyond the end date of the program.
- If you are renewing your passport you can leave this blank and submit your passport once it is received. Your application will be reviewed for conditional acceptance contingent upon the submission of your renewed passport. You will not be penalized in the application process for not having a valid passport but you must start the process for obtaining a passport or renewing a passport as soon as possible.

Who do I send my home institution approval form to?
You can send your home institution approval form to studyabroad@wfu.edu. WFU staff will be submitting institutional approval forms once per week. This form must be in by January 15th and will not affect your application completion date/time for admissions purposes.
What should I do if my passport is not renewed yet or I don’t have a copy of my passport?
Leave this form blank and apply for a new passport as soon as possible. Your application will be reviewed for conditional acceptance contingent upon the submission of your renewed passport. Passport renewals can take 4-5 months, so we highly encourage you to renew your passport as soon as possible. Contact your WFU study abroad advisor if you need help with the passport renewal process.

Florence Center: Wake Forest University Business
This program is intended for Wake Forest University students who have a declared or intended major in Accountancy, Business and Enterprise Management, Finance, or Mathematical Business within the Wake Forest School of Business. Students in this program are required to take 2 of the following business courses, Italian language, and other elective courses at the Syracuse Center. Business course placements are coordinated in partnership with the Wake Forest Center for Global Programs & Studies.

Florence Center
Students who intend to take 2 of the core business courses and have a declared or intended major in the Wake Forest School of Business should consider applying to the Syracuse Florence: Wake Forest Business Program (see above)
This program is for students who wish to take all of their courses at Syracuse University’s Center in Florence. It offers Italian language courses at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, along with a broad selection of courses taught in English.
Florence Center & University of Florence (courses taught in English)(Fall only)
The course schedule at the University of Florence (UniFi) includes a variety of courses in economics and political science offered in English, which provides an exciting opportunity for Syracuse Florence Center students who are not proficient in Italian language to take a class with Italian students. These classes will meet at UniFi, an approximate 20-30 minute one-way commute from the Syracuse campus.
Florence Center: Studio Arts
This program is designed for studio art majors or minors, offering studio classes in disciplines including (but not limited to) painting, drawing, ceramics, and photography. Studio arts students typically enroll in 2-3 studio classes, Italian language, and one other elective course at the Syracuse Center.
Florence Center & Intensive Language Program at the University of Florence
Take your Italian language classes at the Centro di Cultura per Stranieri (part of the University of Florence), located just across the Piazza from the Syracuse Florence Center. TheCentro hosts students from around the globe, allowing you to interact with students from all over the world while studying Italian language and culture.
